What is a commercial stackable dryer?
A stackable dryer is a laundry solution wherein tumble dryers can be stacked on top of other appliances – including other dryers and commercial washing machines. This helps to save floor space within a laundry while maximising capacity and functionality.
Not any commercial tumble dryer can be stacked. For an appliance to be considered ‘stackable’, it must be designed as such, with provisions in place to ensure optimal safety, performance, and ease of use when operating the machine.
Can any commercial tumble dryer be stacked?
No. The centrifugal force generated during washing and drying cycles mean that laundry appliances must be carefully integrated in order to combine them into a single stack safely, otherwise, damage can occur. This, coupled with vibration and appliance weight, means that you should always opt for a stacked washer dryer combo as opposed to stacking two disparate appliances.
