JLA Director of Operations Mark Bone (Fire and Security) outlines some of the fire safety technologies and regulatory reforms that will shape the industry over the next few years.
Adapting to recent Regulatory Reform Act (2005) amendments
After amendments to the Regulatory Reform Act of 2005 earlier this year, Mark highlights how customers are now taking more responsibility for making sure the firms they engage for fire risk assessments and safety are up to the task.
And with more reform coming down the line – including an update to British Standards for fire alarms – Mark believes organisations will need to continue to engage with their fire safety partners to stay abreast of incoming changes.
Mark also touches on some of the updates we’re making in house. As regulations evolve, we’re taking steps to ensure our backend systems keep pace with the technologies we install and take care of.
