Local Launderette Celebrates 20 Years in Business
One of JLA’s launderette customers is celebrating 20 years in business – by having some good, clean fun with Halifax RLFC star Rob Worrincy!
The winger stripped off in Boothtown's Super Suds to recreate an iconic local photograph taken back in 1994, when the club’s then winger, Wilf George, did the honours to mark the shop’s opening. As part of a competition, Emily Hewitson-Townley of Warley came in as a substitute for the original leading lady, the late Julia Derdak.
The backdrop for both photos came courtesy of JLA’s washers and dryers – which have helped SuperSuds wash rugby club kits and much, much more for the past 20 years.

Super Suds owner Rochelle Drake said: “It’s coming up to my first year in business and this a great way to celebrate. We tried to mirror the original picture - it look’s fantastic. We all had such a laugh doing it - the customers were over the moon; they got a lot more than they bargained for"
