Government help available for flooded businesses
Rebuilding your business after flooding?
As part of the government’s ongoing work to deal with the floods, the Prime Minister has set out further support for businesses in areas affected by flooding. If you need to replace critical machines in laundries or kitchens - such as commercial washing machines, dryers, dishwashers, cooking or refrigeration units - we recommend that you call the helpline below to find out if you are entitled to financial assistance in doing so.
A new Business Support Scheme
The scheme is worth up to £10million to provide hardship funding for SME businesses in areas affected by the floods. Both businesses that have been flooded, and businesses that are in affected areas and have suffered significant loss of trade, will be able to apply for support. Eligible businesses will be able to claim for funding for things like immediate clean-up costs, materials, and exceptional costs to help them continue trading.
A Government helpline has been set up, and will provide comprehensive advice and support to businesses affected by floods - and a free 1 hour call with a dedicated Business Support Adviser. The helpline number is 0300 456 3565.
JLA acts to help affected businesses
Whether you receive help from the Government or are looking to get the most out of any insurance pay-outs you receive in the aftermath of the floods, JLA will be happy to provide quotes for both machines and full refurbishment projects. Some ways in which we can help flood victims are:
- Robust replacement equipment for businesses in affected regions
